At 4:11 p.m., a person reported that 8- and 9-year-olds were driving ATVs and were not wearing helmets on Park Street. They were dodging cars, the person reported. Police were unable to locate the youths.
At 6:22 p.m., a J.C. Penney employee reported two shoplifters. The store handled the matter.
At 7:03 p.m., police arrested Jeimy Victoria, 22, 52 Highland Ave., Apt. 3, Salem, and charged the person with shoplifting more than $100 by concealing merchandise. Police made the arrest after the report of a shoplifter at Macy’s.
At 7:44 p.m., police arrested a 17-year-old and charged the person with breaking and entering into a motor vehicle for a felony. Police made the arrest after a report of a car break-in on Newbury Street.
Wednesday, May 14
At 2:49 a.m. police responded to Lowell Street after a driver struck a pole. The driver was taken to an area hospital and cited for a marked lanes violation. Police notified the Electric Light Department about the damaged pole.
At 8:20 a.m., police received a call about a man dancing in the street at Andover Street and Hilltop Drive. Police were unable to locate the dancer.
At 8:43 a.m., police responded to a report of a man lying on the sidewalk on Margin Street. Police were unable to locate the man.
At 8:55 a.m., police arrested Joseph A. Bartolotti, 52, 196 North St., Groton, and charged him with operating a motor vehicle without a license and a warrant for a marked lanes violation and operating a motor vehicle without a license. Police made the arrest after the report of a suspicious vehicle on Corporate Place.
At 11 a.m., police responded to Peabody Veterans Memorial High School after an 18-year-old student who was suspended from school may have been under the influence of marijuana. Police issued a civil citation for possessing a Class D substance. Police escorted him to his home. His vehicle was towed from school property.
At 11:43 a.m., police arrested Abner Jose Trinidad, 21, 8 Lowe St., Peabody, and charged him on a warrant for unarmed robbery.
