At 3:02 p.m., police summonsed a 29-year-old Peabody woman to court and charged her with larceny less than $250.
At 4:22 p.m., police received a call from Central Street about a man taking a bird out of a tree. Police arrived and found that the man took the bird out of the tree to show a friend and photograph, but he returned the bird to the tree.
At 4:43 p.m., police received a call after a person reported that her cell phone was stolen from Walgreens. Police are investigating.
At 6:57 p.m., police responded to Main Street after a report of a male and female in a heated argument. Police arrived and found the two people hugging. There was no problem.
At 8:35 p.m., police responded to a three-car accident on Washington Street. Three people were taken to Salem Hospital and two cars were towed. The road was closed for a time after the accident. A 21-year-old Peabody man was summonsed to court for negligently operating a motor vehicle and speeding.
At 11:40 p.m., police summonsed a 63-year-old Peabody man and charged him with domestic assault and battery.
Tuesday, June 3
At 1:20 a.m., police placed a 51-year-old intoxicated Peabody man into protective custody.
At 1:22 p.m., police responded to Forest Street concerning a one-car accident. A driver swerved to avoid hitting an animal and reportedly turned the car over on its roof. There were no injuries. The car was towed.
