The special election primary is set for Feb. 2.

PEABODY, MA - It looks like there will be six candidates, including two sitting City Councilors, running in a special election for State Representative.
The candidates are running for the seat that was held by Leah Cole, who stepped down earlier this year to devote more time to her nursing career.
The six candidates who have been certified are Councilors Thomas Walsh and James Moutsoulas along with Craig Welton on the Democratic side. The Republican candidates are Jaclyn Corriveau and Stephanie Peach. There is also one unenrolled candidate, Christopher Gallagher.
