Weedy Suspicions and Dog Manipulation

The following are excerpts from reports in the Peabody Police Department press log.

Sunday, March 24

At 2:16 p.m., there was an accident on North Central Street involving a motorcycle and a parked car.

At 3:30 p.m., H&M reported an juvenile detained for shoplifting. Store management notified the parents.

At 4:30 p.m., an employee at Barnes and Noble reported a suspicious customer possibly smoking marijuana there. Police investigated, but it turned out that the man had a cigarette which an employee had mistaken for a marijuana cigarette.

At 6:57 p.m., a resident reported a suspicious vehicle parked on Ledgewood Way with people possibly smoking marijuana in it, after a family dispute. Police investigated and sent the vehicle occupants on their way.

Monday, March 25

At 8:04 a.m., there was a domestic disturbance on Washington Street, and a resident asked to speak to a police officer about kicking his girlfriend out. Jonathan DiBiaso, 32, of 143 Washington St. Apt 2, was charged with domestic assault and battery and intimidation of a witness. Maria Capuano, 29, of 64 Chelsea St., East Boston, was apprehended on a warrant for receiving stolen property.

At 8:58 a.m., a caller on Carpenter Street reported that he believes his  neighbor is using some kind of device to get his dog to bark and that he and his dog are being harrassed. Police advised him that it's considered a civil matter.
