128 Traffic: Standstill In Both Directions For Truck Fire

READING, MA — Traffic is still a mess on Route 128 in both directions due to a truck fire, reports WBZ. The right lanes were blocked southbound at Exit 38 in Reading. Southbound traffic is backed up into Lynnfield, while northbound traffic is stopped back to Route 3 in Burlington.

The traffic image below, taken at 2 p.m., shows the severity of the traffic. It has improved since the gridlock nearly two hours before (shown in the image at the bottom.)
