Arlington Man Allegedly Steals Jimmy Fund Jar from Somerville Pub

An Arlington man was allegedly caught on tape last Tuesday stealing a Jimmy Fund donation jar with about $200 in it from Bull McCabe’s Pub in Somerville’s Union Square.

Kenneth Happas, 46, was then arrested on Friday and charged with larceny in a building, according to WCVB.

The bar put Happas’ photo from surveillance footage on its Facebook page after the theft. After his arrest, Bull McCabe’s posted the following:

“THEY GOT HIM!!!!!!! He's under arrest. And he was on parole for bank robbery, so, he's going back to jail. Thank you all for getting the word out!!!!”

The jar was put out after a niece of one of Bull McCabe’s employees beat neuroblastoma, a type of childhood cancer, after having been given only a 20 percent to live, according to WCVB’s report.
