With winter nearly here, Hubway, Boston's bike sharing program, is closing down for the season, according to the Hubway website.
In Somerville, which joined the bike sharing network this summer, the Hubway stations in Ball Square and at Washington and Beacon streets were scheduled to close Monday. Hubway has been closing down its network, station by station, since Nov. 19.
The entire network will be closed down for the winter by the end of the day on Nov. 28, the website said.
But don't fear, the system is scheduled to be up and running again in March of 2013.
Here in Somerville, the 2013 season is expected to bring more stations. The city had eight stations in 2012 but is supposed to get four more, likely in Teele Square and eastern Davis Square and on Highland Avenue and Powder House Boulevard.
