Mystic River: Man's Body Discovered by Passerby

A passerby reported the body at approximately 6:30 p.m. Tuesday.

SOMERVILLE, MA—The body of a man was found in the Mystic River Tuesday evening, according to the Middlesex County District Attorney's office.

A passerby noticed the body at around 6:30 p.m. in the water near the intersection of Shore Drive and Ten Hills Road in Somerville. State police later removed the body from the river, and determined that the body appeared to be in the water for an extended period of time.

The death is not currently believed to be suspicious. The District Attorney's office added that no further information is available at this time.
