Somerville Meeting to Address Proposed Davis Square Medical Marijuana Dispensary
The proposal was submitted by Garden Remedies, which recently opened a dispensary in Newton.

SOMERVILLE, MA – City officials in Somerville will hold a neighborhood meeting on Monday about a proposed medical marijuana dispensary in Davis Square.
Alderman-at-Large Jack Connelly, chairman of the Somerville Board of Alderman's Committee on Public Health and Public Safety, and Ward Six Alderman Lance Davis will introduce a presentation from Garden Remedies, Inc.
The company has proposed a dispensary at 245 Elm St., the current site of Family Dollar. Representatives from Garden Remedies will take questions and listen to feedback regarding their application and intent to seek a special permit from the City of Somerville.

The city recently issued a letter of non-opposition to the Garden Remedies application. Garden Remedies, a non-profit founded by a physician and cancer survivor, most recently opened a dispensary in Newton.
