SOMERVILLE RESIDENT AMONG GRADUATES FROM JEWISH VOCATIONAL SERVICE’S PHARMACY TECH PROGRAM
BOSTON – Somerville resident Ileana Carranza was among recent graduates of Jewish Vocational Service’s (JVS) Certified Pharmacy Technician Training Program.

Family and friends joined JVS staff to congratulate the graduates of the program, which prepares students to pass the national pharmacy technician certification exam and to take critical first steps in becoming a Certified Pharmacy Technician.

The 12-week program includes classroom training three days a week and 165 hours of training with CVS/Pharmacy, giving students hands-on experience working in a fast-paced pharmacy. Ongoing support is provided throughout the program and students benefit from job placement upon graduation.

Founded in 1938, JVS is a non-sectarian agency that helps individuals get the education, skills, and jobs they need to succeed in our community, and helps businesses hire, train, retain and promote their employees through a broad range of programs.  JVS delivers over 35 services to 15,000 individuals and hundreds of employers annually.  For more information, visit www.jvs-boston.org.
