Somerville Resident Invited to Participate at National Academy of Engineering’s FOEE Symposium
Edgar Goluch to participate at National Academy of Engineering's FOEE Symposium in Irvine, CA this month.

Edgar Goluch, Ph.D., associate professor in the department of chemical engineering at Northeastern University, was recently invited to participate at the National Academy of Engineering’s eighth Frontiers of Engineering Education (FOEE) Symposium, which will be held in late September in Irvine, CA.
Chosen from a highly competitive pool of applicants, conference attendees were nominated by members of the National Academy of Engineering or deans. The FOEE Symposium brings together some of the nation’s most engaged and innovative engineering educators in order to recognize, reward, and promote effective, substantive, and inspirational engineering education through a sustained dialogue within the emerging generation of innovative faculty.
A Somerville resident, Dr. Goluch received his B.S. in chemical engineering, M.S. in mechanical engineering and Ph.D. in bioengineering from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign, and completed a N.S.F. postdoctoral fellowship at Delft University of Technology in the Netherlands. Currently, Dr. Goluch’s research focuses on developing new devices for measuring biomolecules and studying microbes.
