Somerville Sees Two Rollover Accidents in Less than 24 Hours

The Somerville Fire Department responded to a rollover accident Friday morning at the intersection of Medford and Thurston streets, according to an email from Deputy Chief Charles Breen.

The accident happened at around 10:08 a.m., and the driver was transported to the hospital with non-life threatening injuries, Breen said.

The story gets a bit crazy. According to the The Somerville News, the car flipped over after crashing into an unmarked police cruiser belonging to an officer working a detail in the area.

It was the second rollover accident in less than 24 hours, according to Breen. At around 4:20 p.m. on Thursday, a car flipped over at 80 Webster Ave., resulting in one injury, Breen said in the email.
