Stoneham Woman Runs Marathon for Her 'Angel Baby Boy'

Stoneham Woman Runs Marathon for Her 'Angel Baby Boy' Stoneham Woman Runs Marathon for Her 'Angel Baby Boy'
Stoneham has always been wonderful supporting their marathon runners I think this is really great, so thank you!

NAME: Jo-An B. Gardner

AGE: 39

GOAL:  I am not very fast so I am not running for time, my Goal is to finish strong for my Angel Baby Boy!

Reason for Running: I am running in honor of my son Declan Arthur Gardner.  My son Declan was born on August 30, 2011 and passed away on Sept 2, 2011 he was born with a genetic disease we knew nothing about until he was born.  As part of the Boston Children’s Hospital Miles for Miracles Team, participating in the Boston Marathon is my way to help make a difference in the life of a child and to say thank you to the research team Boston Children’s hospital who we are still working with today to help us find answers for our baby boy. To them I am truly grateful. Most importantly  I want to make my baby Declan’s little life meaningful and keep his memory alive the best way I know how.  He is my guardian angel and I am determined to finish for him.
