HAPPY BIRTHDAY to Patty McGowan Bangs, a lovely fitness and spinning instructor, Stoughton High graduate, and Stoughton resident. She is among the dozen or so residents who are doing the Pan Mass Challenge for the Dana-Farber Institute and the Jimmy Fund. Check out her photo with Tedy Bruschi in our gallery.

Happy Birthday to PMPNetwork.com guest, and former star of "Party of Five" and "Lost," Matthew Fox. Happy Birthday to Attorney General Martha Coakley; And Happy Birthday to talented singer (and former Snyder's Stoughton TV Guest) Michelle Romeiro Medeiros.  She has had a string of best-selling CD's in the Portuguese and Brazilian community.

FIREFIGHTERS FUNDRAISER A DELICIOUS SUCCESS! Stoughton Firefighters Union Local 1512 held a successful fundraiser  at the Texas Roadhouse in Brockton to raise money for the Muscular Dystrophy Association.

Dozens of supporters came to the Roadhouse and dined on some great barbecue food, with 10% of the proceeds going to Local 1512.

Stoughton Patch's Christine Iacobucci reports, "The restaurant and parking lot were full and by 7 p.m. there were Stoughton residents scattered around the Roudhouse. Union President Lt. Jim Curtin estimated by 7 p.m. there had been at least 12 firefighters (including retireees) and their families! Jack Hussey of the SFD reminds us to be on the look out for your firefighters in Stoughton Center holding the iconic firefighter boots to collect further donations."

Pictured (in our gallery) at the fundraiser are (l to r) Lt. Jay McNamara, Lt. Jim Rush, Lt. Jim Campbell, Lt. Jim Curtin, and FF Jack Hussey. A great time was had by all!

A SURPRISE PARTY! Employees of the Town Clerk's Office celebrated the 50th Birthday of Town Clerk Cheryl Mooney Tuesday. I'd like to have been there, but the last minute invitation came when I was committed to be elsewhere. We wish Cheryl a wonderful 50th year, and remind her that 50 is the new 40.
