Stoughton and responded to a collision between a motorcycle and a car early Saturday evening, which sent two to the hospital, including one who was transported via MedFlight with serious injuries.
The accident occurred just outside downtown Stoughton, at the intersections of Union St. and Porter St. at 5:55 p.m. on Saturday, Stoughton Fire Captain Robert O’Donnell said.
The motorcycle hit the right passenger side door of a car, O’Donnell said.
The operator of the motorcycle, a 30-year-old male, was unconscious on the scene, having sustained facial and head injuries.
He was treated on scene by firefighters and paramedics from Stoughton Engine 4.
The operator of the motorcycle was then transported to the by a Canton ambulance, O’Donnell said.
The field was a cleared landing spot for the MedFlight (Stoughton Engine 1 and the SPD secured a landing zone), and the patient was flown via helicopter to Boston Medical Center.
There were three occupants inside the car. An elderly female passenger sitting in the rear seat of the car was also transported to the hospital with minor injuries, O’Donnell said. She was transported by an Avon ambulance to in Brockton.
