Police have charged a Milton man in connection with two recent bank robberies believed to have been carried out by the "Brim Beanie Bandit," according to WCVB.
Daniel Cathcart, 45, of Milton, was arrested for armed robbery and other charges in connection with two Stoughton bank robberies that the FBI said were carried out by a suspect known as the "Brim Beanie Bandit," according to the report.
The bandit is believed to have been involved in six bank robberies across Eastern Massachusetts, including banks in Quincy, Stoughton, Needham, Braintree and Dedham. Cathcart was not charged Friday in connection with the other robberies, only the Stoughton robberies, according to WCVB.
Cathcart's bail was set at $150,000 during his arraignment in
Stoughton District Court on Friday with the stipulation that if he makes bail, he will need to wear a GPS device, WCVB reported.
