Police Log: Fight Breaks Out at Smokey Bones, Rite Aid Shoplifter Charged

Police Log: Fight Breaks Out at Smokey Bones, Rite Aid Shoplifter Charged

Wednesday, Feb. 19

At 12:03 a.m., Stoughton police responded to a report of a car accident in the area of Pearl and School streets, where a vehicle had slid into a snow bank. The vehicle was towed from the scene, as the driver was not insured and was issued a summons for operating a vehicle without insurance. 

At 1:02 a.m., police responded to Smokey Bones on a report of a fight. An officer on scene reported a male party pushed him and then fled in the direction of BJ's and Page Street. The Avon Police Department was notified, and Stoughton police were able to break up the fight, according to police reports. Police subsequently arrested a 21-year-old Randolph resident for disorderly conduct and resisting arrest. 

At 6:59 a.m., police arrested a 66-year-old Stoughton woman on a warrant.

At 10:35 a.m., police responded to Rite Aid on Washington Street on a report of a shoplifter. An employee of the store reported that an individual described as a black female wearing a pink jacket and white hood attempted to take merchandise and then walked away towards a Bank of America ATM. Police responded to the area and subsequently arrested a 19-year-old Randolph woman for shoplifting by asportation. 

At 11:33 p.m., police received a report of a suspicious vehicle at Papa John's Pizza on Washington Street. Upon arrival, police viewed smoke coming from the vehicle and issued a summons to a 25-year-old Stoughton man for attaching plates to a motor vehicle.
