Three goals from freshman Mark Sheehan and another two scores from senior Imani Pina helped the Stoughton High hockey team pick up its first win of the season, 7-2, at Hockomock League Davenport Division rival Foxborough Saturday evening.

With the win over Foxborough, Stoughton is now 1-8-2 on the season. This was Stoughton's first win since Jan. 4, 2012, a 2-1 victory also against Foxborough.

Stoughton very nearly picked up a win in its previous game vs. Taunton on Jan. 12, but two late Taunton goals erased a 3-1 Stoughton lead, with the Black Knights settling for the 3-3 tie.

Sheehan had the hat trick this time around vs. Foxborough and leads the team with 5 goals on the season. His older brother, junior P.J. Sheehan, made 30 saves in goal Saturday night.

Pina's two goals give him four on the season. Junior Brandon Lima and senior Cody Buckman scored the other goals for Stoughton.

Freshman Albert Smith picked up three assists, while sophomores John Catrone and Ryan McSweeney also had assists.

Stoughton next plays Wednesday, Jan. 23 vs. Oliver Ames. Technically a road game for the Black Knights, it will be played at the team's home ice at the Asiaf Arena in Brockton, which is also the home ice for OA.
