Craft Beer Cellar Plans Sudbury Opening

The company has a hearing this week to seek approval for its beer and wine license.

SUDBURY, MA - There could be a new place for craft, micro or artisanal brewed beers opening soon in Sudbury.

Gustavo Villatoro, owner and operator of Head Hops, is planning to open a Craft Beer Cellar at the Mill Village Shopping Plaza.

Villatro’s application for a beer and liquor license will be heard at Sudbury’s Board of Selectmen meeting on Tuesday, Dec. 15 as part of its agenda.

“We are hopeful to be approved for a beer and wine license by the town selectmen,” said Villatoro. “At this point, we are not expecting any problems. Our opening date will depend on the liquor licensing process.”

Most of the work that remains to be done on the new location is cosmetic, including paint, flooring and shelving “consistent with the Craft Beer Cellar brand.” The space was previously a retail store, so no build outs were required.

There are eight Craft Beer Seller locations in Massachusetts, and 22 across the country.

The store offesr craft, micro or artisanal brewed beers from the US and Internationally.

“Craft Beer Cellars has a strong focus on awesome beer, education and hospitality,” said Villatoro.

So, why Sudbury?

“We have local ties to the area and were drawn to Sudbury’s charm,” he said.
