Discussion: Will L-S Lose Out if Carpenter Leaves?

Superintendent Scott Carpenter advised members of the Lincoln-Sudbury Regional High School Committee at their Tuesday night meeting that he has been named one of three finalists for a Superintendent’s position in the town of Harvard.

Carpenter has been at Lincoln-Sudbury as the interim superintendent and then the permanent superintendent for four years.

During his tenure Lincoln-Sudbury has remained among the top high schools in Massachusetts.

Boston Magazine recently compiled its list of 222 Boston-area public and charter high schools and also narrowed down the top 50 schools in the area based on a variety of statistics, and Lincoln-Sudbury Regional High School found itself in the upper half, coming in at No. 16.

With L-S striving, should the school system and towns do everything possible to keep Carpenter here?
