Myrna Hoffman of Newton, formerly of Wayland entered into rest on May 31 surrounded by her loving family, at the age of 76. Daughter of Mark and Beatrice (Brooks) Karofsky.

Fabulous wife of Donald Hoffman, with whom she shared 56 years. Phenomenal mother to Michael Hoffman and his wife Marie of West Newbury; Karen Hoffman and her husband Neil McKittrick of Needham; Jane Maxwell and her husband Scott of Newton.

Loving sister to Kenneth Karofsky and his wife Joan of Raymond, ME. The world's best Nana to Alison, Carolyn and Mark Hoffman; Kerry, Brian and Robby McKittrick; Jen, Becca and Jay Maxwell. Myrna was a graduate of Beaver College and she received her teaching degree through Curry College.

She was employed at Women's Health Services as a counselor for many years as well as a Special Education Teacher in Sudbury. Myrna was an extraordinary life force, mother, nana and dedicated friend to many.

Shiva will be held on Wednesday and Thursday from 4 p.m.-7 p.m. at the home of Jane and Scott Maxwell. In lieu of flowers donations may be made in Myrna's memory to Camp Sunshine, 35 Acadia Road, Casco, ME 04015.
