This article was submitted by Maureen Caron of Stanley Elementary School.

On Wednesday, June 13th, the staff, students and PTO had a Farewell Celebration for their beloved principal, Ms. Angelakis.

Although they hope to see her around the school and town because she will now be the new assistant superintendent for curriculum, instruction, professional development, assessment and grants. She will be based out of the Swampscott Middle School and says she will be back to visit.

There were many sad and teary eyes as each grade presented Ms. Angelakis with a little something.  They sang a song, handed her a handmade note, gave her a plant, a poem, listed the top 10 reasons she will be missed, gave her a collage, an illustrated story book, posters, a handmade painting of Stanley School, and more!

It's been a great 8 years!!
