Police Honored for Work with At-Risk Population
The WPD was one of 10 police departments in the state

The Wakefield Police Department was one of 10 Massachusetts Police Departments to recently receive the“Life Matters Award” from American Training at an awards gala held at the Andover Country Club.
American Training provides workforce development, education, and specialized housing plans to help those who are underemployed, under-employed, at risk, people with disabilities, as well as those with limited marketable or language skills. The Wakefield Police Department was recognized for making a difference in the lives of people who are in need.
