UPDATED: Route 128 is Open Again After Truck Fire

Route 128 has been completely reopened. 

UPDATED at 4:56 p.m. Thursday:

State Police said one lane has opened on Route 128 Northbound. Southbound is still completely closed.

State Police have closed Route 128 Northbound and Southbound in Wakefield as fire crews work to extinguish a truck fire.

Traffic is being diverted at Exit 43 on the Southbound side and Exit 41 on the Northbound side.

Expect delays or better yet avoid the area.
