Share The Love Saturday With PAWS, ASPCA

The following was provided by PAWS of Wakefield:

Protection of Animals in Wakefield Society, Inc. (PAWS) once again joins the ASPCA® (The American Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals) and Subaru of America for its fourth annual year-end “Share the Love” campaign and celebration on December 8, 2012 at Subaru of Wakefield (888 Main Street, Wakefield, MA)

As part of this national effort, PAWS and Subaru of Wakefield have teamed up to present an exciting adoption awareness event at the Subaru of Wakefield dealership (888 Main Street, Wakefield, MA).  A variety of healthy, loveable, cats, dogs, and maybe even a bunny, will attend the event, all eager to find loving homes!  PAWS adoption counselors will be available to tell you more about all of our adoptable animals and help you find the best match for your family.

If you already have a pet or pets, bring your furry family member along to take full advantage of all of the day’s activities, including:

  • Santa PAWS pet photos with Santa for a $10 donation to PAWS.
  • Ask the Vet with Dr. Christine Pelletier, Medical Director of VCA Wakefield Animal Hospital.  Bring your all your medical questions to Dr. Christine. Fluent in the full spectrum of pet care needs, Dr. Christine’s special interests are in emergency, critical care, and exotic animal medicine.
  • Ask the Behaviorist with Kathryn M. Wrubel, Ph.D., Behavioral Neuroscientist with Animal Behavior Services for IVG Hospitals.  Dr. Kati has great advice for all sorts of pet behavior issues from aggression and separation anxiety to noise phobias and house soiling or marking.
  • Low-cost Microchips and Nail Trims provided by VCA Wakefield Animal Hospital.  Microchips are $25 including implantation and registration.  Cat or Dog nail trims are only $10.   All proceeds will benefit the homeless PAWS pets.
  • Raffle Baskets
  • Music and Prizes provided by AMP 103.3 FM
  • People and Pet Gifts

Last but not least, Subaru of Wakefield and PAWS is sponsoring the annual Community Fill’er Up Challenge: Fill the Subaru Outback with cat and dog food, litter, toys, and bedding for our animals-in-need. Stop by Subaru of Wakefield with your donations any time after December 1.
