Tell Us: Should Wakefield End Its Winter Parking Ban?

Earlier this month, Danvers ended its longstanding winter parking ban. The idea briefly came up at the end of the Wakefield selectmen's meeting this week. What do you think?

Tell Us: Should Wakefield End Its Winter Parking Ban?

About a week ago, nearby Danvers voted to end its winter parking ban after almost 40 years. Apparently, back in the old days New Englanders would have this thing called snow that would characterize their winter months.

A combination of technology and winter not being what it used to be means that the area's winter parking bans are coming under more pressure than ever to melt away into the past.

This week at the Wakefield Selectman's meeting for example, Selectman Patrick Glynn suggested that the town should begin considering doing away with its own winter parking ban - noting that a combination of technology and good sense can basically accomplish what the ban does without the inconvenience for local residents.

So what do you think? Is it time to lift the winter parking ban or would it be a short-sighted move? Answer in the comments box below!
