WAKEFIELD STUDENT TO TAKE THE STONEHAM THEATRE STAGE

A Wakefield student will be taking the stage at Stoneham Theatre during the theatre’s young company Winter Festival 2014.  Stoneham Theatre’s young companyoffers year-round theatrical training and performing opportunities for children in grades 1-12.  This year’s Winter Festival will showcase three musicals adapted from classic stories:  Charlotte’s Web, Shrek, and Winesburg, Ohio

Brigit Smith will appear in Charlotte’s Web.  Since its publication in 1952, Charlotte’s Web has numbered among America’s most beloved children’s novels.  Now, overture and act 1 students bring to life the unforgettable story of one “terrific” pig and the spider who saves him.  Featuring songs by Charles Strouse (Annie, Bye Bye Birdie), Charlotte’s Web is a musical adventure for all ages.
