Woman Charged With Numerous Vehicle Break-Ins Easter Morning

Wakefield Police responded to these and other calls for service between Friday, March 29th and Sunday, March 31st.

On Friday, March 29th at 8:50 a.m., Wakefield Fire personnel responded to Albion Street for a report of a small electrical fire that had occurred previously.
At 10:18 a.m. police arrested Joel Fermin, 23, 1715 Walton Ave. Bronx, NY, and charged him with unlicensed operation of a motor vehicle, a marked lanes violation, possession of a class A drug (heroin) with intent to distribute, and a drug violation near a school/park. The K-9 unit later searched the vehicle and reportedly found nothing additional.
At 11:07 a.m. a person walked into the station to report the theft of two packages.
At 11:35 a.m. a caller reported a stray yellow lab in the Spring Street area.
At 2:17 p.m. a person walked in to report vandalism to their car.
At 3:02 p.m. a person walked in to report vandalism on Ballister Street.
At 3:06 p.m. a caller reported water bubbling from the ground near Salem Street and Nablus Road. DPW was informed of a possible water main break.
At 3:48 p.m. a past break-in on Nahant Street was reported.
At 6:14 p.m. an officer sent a group of youths on their way from the library.
At 8:07 p.m. police issued a summons to a 44 year old North Reading woman charging her with operating with a revoked or suspended registration.

On Saturday, March 30th at 12:15 a.m., police took a report of graffiti tagging on Audubon Road.
At 1:53 a.m. a noise complaint came from a Main Street apartment.
At 2:58 a.m. and 3:06 a.m. police received noise complaints about a gathering on Ballister Street. They were sent on their way.
At 3:49 a.m. police arrested Tayla Plunkett, 23, 11 Johnson Street, Malden, on a default warrant.
At 10:57 a.m. a past vehicle break-in was reported on Audubon Road.
At 11:14 a.m. police took a report involving a recent break-in on Nahant Street.
At 2:41 p.m. police were informed of a vehicle heading toward Reading that struck a sidewalk several times.
At 4 p.m. a caller reported some items had gone missing from his house while moving.
At 4:24 p.m. a caller on Drummer Lane reported that people were setting up a musical stage next to a nearby abandoned house. They were filming a video with permission.
At 4:33 p.m. a Traverse Street resident reported some youths threw rocks at his house.
At 6:20 p.m. a vehicle was reported keyed near Lake Street and Albion Street.
At 8:49 p.m. a group of youths were sent on their way from Audubon Road.

On Sunday, March 31st at 1:43 a.m. police responded to a noise complaint on Main Street.
At 7:08 a.m. a caller on Wave Ave. reported a woman was entering parked vehicles. Police arrested Cinthia Susan Hannington, 28, 40 E. Longmeadow Road, Hampden, MA, and charged her with nine counts of breaking and entering into a vehicle/boat in the nighttime for felony, one count of breaking/entering into a vehicle boat in the day time for felony, receiving stolen property over $250, and possession of ammunition/mace/pepper spray.  Police proceeded to take seven reports from town residents involving motor vehicle break-ins during the rest of the day and one more the next day.
At 12:53 p.m. police responded to a reported argument between a man and a woman near Nahant and Main Streets.
At 2:26 p.m. police were informed a stolen credit card was used at the Circle K.
