Is A Disgraced Waltham Police Officer Working Again?

Former Waltham Police Officer Paul Managennli's conditions of supervised release have been eased, according to federal court documents.

Manganelli resigned in 2013 after he was arrested for allegedly having child pornography. He is scheduled for a Jan. 27 hearing at the federal courthouse in Boston.

A judge, on Jan. 23, approved letting Manganelli drive himself to and from a new job he has obtained, according to court records. While the documents do not specify the nature of the job, they reveal it is within 15 minutes of his parents home. Manganelli is currently living with his parents in Waltham.

Previously, Manganelli was required to be accompanied by an adult when he left his parents home.

The judge allowed Manganelli's request with no objection from the Probation Department or federal prosecutors, according to court records.

Manganelli landed the job after his therapist suggested he seek employment, according to court records.

Manganellii is currently receiving a $26,000 per year pension from the city. However, city officials have said they could move to revoke it if Manganelli is convicted.
