Residents are urged to avoid the area.

SUDBURY, MA — Sudbury and area firefighters, including Wayland, are battling a three-alarm blaze on Brimstone Lane, according to an announcement from Chief William Miles. Firefighters responded just after 2 p.m., after a UPS driver saw fire coming from a home and called 911.

Everyone, including pets, has been evacuated from the home. No injuries have been reported at this time.

Miles added that there are significant access and water supply issues, and the firefighters are pumping water from Boston Post Road (Route 20) to help fight the fire.

Firefighters from Wayland, Weston, Framingham, and Marlborough responded to the scene, while firefighters from Hudson, Stow, Lincoln, and Concord are providing station coverage.

Motorists are urged to avoid Route 20/Boston Post Road between Peakham Road and Bowditch Road. Detours have been set up.
