Dead Body Found in Weymouth Cemetery

Police are investigating a dead body found in a Weymouth cemetery.

Public Works Department employees working in the Olde Cemetery on Plesant Street found the man’s body and alerted police just before 1 p.m., police said.

Weymouth Police and State Police detectives attached to the Norfolk District Attorney’s Office have responded and are investigating the man’s death. At this time, there is no suspected foul play, according to the District Attorney’s office.

The Office of the Chief Medical Examiner in Boston has accepted the case for autopsy and to establish the identity of the decedent.
