Weymouth Man Found Dead on Hull Beach

HULL, MA — A Weymouth man was found dead on a beach in Hull Saturday morning.

Around 9:25 a.m. Saturday, police received a report that a person was lying on the rocks by the water at the part of the beach along Channel Street, in the Pemberton Point area, police said. Douglas King, 51, was found unconscious about 300 yards away from an overturned kayak lifejacket, according to the Boston Globe. He was pronounced dead at the scene, the Plymouth County District Attorney's office said.

The incident remains under investigation by the Hull Police Department and the Massachusetts State Police, police said.
