POLICE LOG: Man Spends Night in Club Car


The following is an excerpt from the Woburn Police Department log. Please note that this is a sampling of activity in the log, not a complete account. We report all arrests included in the daily police log.

Dec. 27 – At 7:28 a.m., Michael Kenneth Russell, 30, of 171 Old Cambridge Road, was arrested and charged on an outstanding warrant. According to police, officers were dispatched to the Woburn Country Club for an audible alarm. When police arrived, an officer saw Russell walking on the property, which was closed at the time. Russell was taken into custody on an outstanding warrant. Police found a door open at the Country Club, but there was no sign of forced entry or items stolen. Russell told police he had slept in an unlocked maintenance vehicle but did not enter the building.


Other Incidents:

Dec. 27 –

At 12:06 p.m., police responded to a two-car accident at Wildwood and Olympia avenues. According to police, one car did not yield to traffic while turning, causing the collision. There were no reported injuries.

At 1:44 p.m., a Bedford woman reported her car damaged while parked outside the Dunkin’ Donuts on Cambridge Road. According to police, a concrete cinder block was dropped through the hatchback of the woman’s vehicle. Police are awaiting video surveillance footage of the parking lot for further investigation.

At 4:04 p.m., a Kimball Court resident reported his car stolen. According to police, he parked the car at 1 a.m. and noticed it missing at 1:30 p.m. Scratch tickets and a tactical knife were in the car when it was stolen, said police.
