Trauma Awareness Month: Where to Donate Blood in Woburn

WOBURN, MA—May is Trauma Awareness Month, and the American Red Cross is urging donors to donate blood for patient emergencies.

According to a release, the Red Cross must collect approximately 14,000 blood donations to meet the needs of trauma patients and others with serious medical conditions.

There is one American Red Cross blood drive occurring in May in Woburn. The drive takes place on May 21 at the American Legion Hall Post 101 located at 194 Lexington St. from 9 a.m.-2 p.m.

Blood donors must be at least 17 years old, or at least 16 years old with parental consent. They must also be healthy and feeling well and weigh at least 110 pounds. Donors must also not have donated blood in the last 56 days.
