Police Investigate Woman's Body Found Near Mercantile Center
The unidentified woman was found on a sidewalk at around 2 p.m. Monday.
WORCESTER, MA — A woman's body was found on a sidewalk in front of the Mercantile Center in downtown Worcester on Monday afternoon. The incident was under investigation for much of the afternoon, blocked streets and sidewalks near the Worcester Common.
Police were calling the incident an "unattended death," which may indicate the death was not criminal. The woman was found at around 2 p.m., Worcester police said.
The woman's identity was not immediately released.
