Anne Wisniewski, 101, of Wrentham, died peacefully and surrounded by her loving family on September 26, 2012, at the Maples Rehabilitation and Nursing Center in Wrentham.
She had been the devoted wife of John Wisniewski who predeceased her in 1999.
Born in Boston on January 17, 1911, she was the dear daughter of Anthony and Stephana (Kalinaukas) Rudginski. Formerly of South Boston, she had attended Boston Public Schools. She and her family became Summer Wrentham residents in 1939, moving to Wrentham permanently in 1986.
A homemaker for most of her life, she was a member of the Castle Island Association. Over her many years she was a productive and active Wrentham Senior Citizen and enjoyed many of the activities at the Wrentham Senior Center, where she often went on trips, liked to exercise, and participated in Arts and Crafts programs. She particularly liked to create Ceramic items that she made from scratch. She had remained active with groups within the Maples as well.
She is survived by her loving children, Anne Marcinkevicius and Stepahanie Marcin both of Wrentham, Patricia Buonopane of Manchester, NH, Walter Wisniewski of Norfolk, John Wisniewski of Brentwood, CA, and Paul Wisniewski of Gulfport, FL, and was mother of the late Joseph Wisniewski. She was the sister of Helen Brewer of MI, and the late John and Edward Rudginski. She was the devoted grandmother of twenty grandchildren, thirty-four great grandchildren, and two great, great granddaughters. She was the loving grandmother of the late Chuck Marcinkevicius, and Joseph Allen Wisniewski.
Relatives and friends gathered at the RJ Ross Funeral Home, 135 South Street, Route 1A, Wrentham Centre on yesterday from 3-7PM. Her Funeral Mass was held on Monday morning in St. Mary’s Church, 140 South Street, Route 1A, Wrentham Centre. Burial was follow in New Calvary Cemetery in Boston.
