Three Minutes on a Park Bench With: Dennis Bruce Spencer

BYOB art soiree. I'm in!

Three Minutes on a Park Bench With: Dennis Bruce Spencer
Dennis Bruce Spencer puts the ‘art’ in ‘party.’  The founder of Paint and Pour in Brighton, he’s discovered how to make art fun for everyone.

Spencer's creativity doesn’t stop there, though. He is a fine artist in his own right. Here’s more on the painter and his life in Brighton:

Patch: What’s your morning routine?

Dennis: Drinking mass quantities of coffee, answering emails, texts and voice mails.

P: What do you do for a living? And what's the best thing about your job?

D: Founder and Co-owner of Paint and Pour, LLC.  Best thing about my job is watching guests leave one of our events with a smile on their face and a finished work of art that they created with the help of one of many of our talented artist/entertainers.

P: What's the hardest?

D: Being available seven days a week and answering emails, texts and voice mails.

P: How long have you lived here?

D: I've live in Brighton since 1990.

P: What's your favorite thing about living here?

D: Safe community with plenty to do from dining to skiing and everything in between.

P: If you had to arrange a secret meeting here, where would you have it?

D: I have most of my super secret meetings at Studio West Gallery.

P: Tell us something about yourself that most of your neighbors don't know.

D: I was born in Munich, Germany and was once a twin.

P: When you want a really indulgent snack here, where do you go and what do you get?

D: I go to the wine and cheese place on Main Street and get a dark chocolate and pistachio gelato.

P: What's the best piece of advice you've ever been given?

D: Never take advice from advisers. Never consult with a consultant. And, never preach to a preacher.

P: What are you doing after this interview?

D: Drinking one more cup of coffee then answering more emails, texts and voice mails.
