After Weather Cancellation, State of City Address On CDTV
Mayor John B. O'Reilly Jr.and seven others recorded their presentations after State of the City address cancelled due to weather.

DEARBORN, MI – A recorded presentation of Mayor John B. O’Reilly Jr.’s State of the City address, cancelled last week because of a snow storm, will be available on CDTV, the city’s government access channel, beginning Tuesday.
O’Reilly changed the format of the annual address to include seven community leaders in a discussion reviewing the accomplishments of 2015 and initiatives for 2016 and beyond.

As an alternative, the seven panelists and the mayor recorded their presentation.

The theme of the address is collaboration.
“Partners, volunteers, commissioners, and business leaders all work together to move our city forward, and I want to show how effective that engagement is,” O’Reilly said.
Joining the Mayor in the presentation are:
- Ghassan Ahmed, a youth commissioner and one of the organizers of The Real Dearborn March;
- Jackie Lovejoy, president of the Dearborn Area Chamber of Commerce and member of the West Dearborn Downtown Development Authority;
- Judith McNeeley, member of the East Dearborn Downtown Development Authority, and vice president of Community and Corporate Engagement for Beaumont Health;
- Dave Norwood, sustainability coordinator for the city of Dearborn;
- Mary Petlichkoff, chair of the Dearborn Federation of Neighborhood Associations, member of the City Beautiful Commission and trustee on the Dearborn Board of Education;
- Nancy Siwik, chair of the City Plan Commission; and
- Jeff Stassen, chair of the Recreation and Parks Commission.
“I appreciate these civic leaders and volunteer commissioners sharing their perspective on the state of our community, and their insight into how we can build on our traditions to secure a bright future,” O’Reilly.
The presentation will be aired on CDTV for the first time at 4 p.m. Tuesday, and also on:
- Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays at 7 a.m., 11 a.m., and 3 p.m., 7 p.m. and 11 p.m.;
- Tuesdays and Thursdays at 8 a.m., 12 p.m. and 4 p.m.;
- Saturdays,at 9 a.m., 5 p.m. and 9 p.m.;
- Sundays at 9 a.m., 1 p.m. and 5 p.m.; or
- Any time at cityofdearborn.org.
