Stormy Records had already reopened Tuesday after Sunday's accident.

Dearborn Comic Store Set to Reopen After Van Crashes Through Wall

Downtown east Dearborn store Green Brain Comics is set to reopen Wednesday after closing due to a van crashing into the side of the building Sunday.

Upper-level store Stormy Records, which is located within the same building, reopened Tuesday.

A vehicle crashed into the side of the two-story brick building at around 6 a.m. Sunday morning.

The van made it half-way through the wall, causing extensive damage to the interior of Green Brain. This included taking out the store's entire bathroom, as well as an interior wall.

According to store owner Dan Merritt, the building had to be inspected and deemed safe by the City of Dearborn before it could reopen.

That inspection happened Tuesday, and Stormy Records was able to reopen by 11 a.m.

Police have not released details on the crash, or the condition of the driver.
