A man walked into the Charter One bank Wednesday afternoon, displayed a handgun and passed a note demanding money, Dearborn police said.

Dearborn police are asking for the public’s help in identifying the suspect who held up a Charter One bank branch Wednesday afternoon.

The suspect walked into the bank at 15904 Michigan Ave. about 2:25 p.m., displayed a handgun and handed the teller a note demanding money, The Press & Guide reports.

Police said the suspect is black, between 20-25 years old, about 5-feet, 6-inches tall and weighs about 145 pounds. He has a neatly trimmed beard and mustache.

He left the bank on foot.
