Valentine's Day Comes Early With a Loveable Dog Named Cupid

If your home needs a little more love this holiday season, Cupid might be a good match for you.

This six-month-old pit bull terrier mix has a beautiful brindle coat and a sweet face that fits his personality, too. He's affectionate, active, and will sit for a treat.

It's recommended that Cupid go to a home without cats or children younger than 12, as he tends to guard his food and toys.

Cupid is available for adoption now from the Dearborn Animal Shelter.

To learn more about Cupid, view his Petfinder profile here.

The adoption fee for an adult dog such as Cupid is lowered to just $50 through Dec. 29. Adoption fees include a basic medical exam, behavior assessment, age-appropriate vaccinations, parasite and worm check, spay or neuter, microchip ID and travel box. Additionally, during this seasonal special, adopters will receive a free bag of pet food and up to a $50 reimbursement for your new pet's first visit to the vet.

Adopters are also eligible for pet insurance from PetFirst HealthCare at an introductory price of $5 for the first month. The price includes accident and illness coverage with any veterinarian. Adopters must register their pet within 20 days of adoption by calling 866-937-PETS, or visiting www.petfirstadoption.com.
