Woman Allegedly Robs Pet Store With Dog in Shopping Cart
A Garden City woman was arrested in Dearborn Jan. 9, after allegedly stealing multiple items from the Pet Supplies Plus located at 2621 S Telegraph Rd, with her dog in the shopping cart.

Police arrived on the scene as the woman, 37, was leaving the store. She was unable to produce a receipt for almost $100 worth of merchandise, including one dog sweater, two dog vests, a pair of dog boots, and several dog treats.

She was also caught on security camera putting dog treats in her purse, according to the report.

The woman was arrested for second degree Retail Fraud, and her bond was set at $400. She had one prior larceny conviction.

Police had to transport her dog to the Dearborn Animal Shelter because no one was available to pick the dog up.
