Woman Tries to Urinate in Back of Patrol Car After Drunken Driving Arrest
Police watched her drive through a turn-around at high speed, cross all lanes on Outer Drive, jump the curb and drive on the sidewalk before coming to a stop next to a tree.
Police pulled over the woman, driving a 1999 Chevrolet Venture, after watching her drive through a turn-around at high speed, cross all lanes on Outer Drive, jump the curb and drive on the sidewalk before coming to a stop next to a tree.
The car was parked so close to the tree that the driver's side door could not open completely, according to the report.
During the traffic stop, Police discovered that her license was suspended. They also noticed that she smelled of alcohol and had red, glassy eyes.
When the officer asked her why she stopped the car on the sidewalk she responded "Just stopped up there."
The woman refused to take a breathalyzer test, but admitted to drinking a shot of "18" and a glass of white zinfandel. Police also found an open can of "Lime-a-Rita" on the ground next to the driver's seat.
After failing several field sobriety tests, the woman was arrested, handcuffed and placed into the back of the patrol car. A short time after, she attempted to take her pants off and urinate in the back seat, but police were able to stop her before she succeeded.
The woman later agreed to take a breathalyzer at the station. She had a blood alcohol level of .16 percent, twice the state’s .08 percent drunken driving limit.
Her bond was set at $200 and the car was impounded.
