'Badly Burned Body' Discovered In Car Fire

Police responded to a car fire at a closed Pontiac elementary school and discovered an unidentifiable body inside.

PONTIAC, MI — A body was found Monday morning in a burning vehicle parked in an abandoned school. According to the Oakland County Sheriff’s Office, 911 calls started coming in just before 10 a.m. Monday about a car fire at the closed Webster Elementary School. The Waterford Regional Fire Department responded to extinguish the fire and a “badly burned body” was discovered in the 2008 Cadillac.

Officials are still unable to determine if it’s a man or a woman. Authorities are investigating the fire and the Medical Examiner’s Office is conducting an autopsy on the body. No other details were made available at this time.
