“Gordon Hall Days - A Celebration of 175 Years of Trains in Dexter” Friday-Sunday June 10-12, 2016.
On Friday, all activities are FREE:
6:30-8 pm: Music Musicians from the Dexter Community Band and Dexter First Grade Chorus

Movies at the Mansion: 8:15 pm: The General with Buster Keaton; .9:45: The Great Train Robbery with Sean Connery and Donald Sutherland
On Saturday and Sunday: 10 am to 5 pm, Donation $5/person or $15/car

Working model train exhibits, railroad history exhibits and speakers, underground railroad, antique vehicles, Dexter Union old time base ball club, horseshoes, Little Conductors train ride, games and activities for the kids.
Hotel Hickman Chuckwagon BBQ on-site Saturday, Dexter Riverview Cafe on Sunday. Specifics on time and events follow:
· All day Saturday and Sunday:
o 1941 Room – displays and living history of the Dexter - Michigan Central Railroad Centennial Celebration held in Dexter in 1941
o Railroad History Room – displays of the history of the railroad in Michigan
o Model train layout by the Ann Arbor Model Railroad Club
o Model train layout with live steam locomotives by Michigan Small Scale Live Steamers
· Speakers
o Saturday at 10: John Guidinger will speak on the History of the Chicago-Detroit Mainline
o Saturday at 12: John Guidinger will speak on Rebuilding the Amtrak Chicago-Detroit Railroad
o Saturday at 3: Clark Charnetski will speak on the proposed North-South Commuter Rail from Ann Arbor to Howell
o Sunday at 11:30: Rahn Stokes will speak on The Third Generation: Life on the Railroad
o Sunday at 2: Deborah Meadows will speak on The Underground Railroad in Washtenaw County
· The Katharine Dexter McCormick Tea on Saturday at 1 pm: Alice Ralph will speak about the life and times of this pioneer of women’s rights who remains largely unknown and was born at Gordon Hall. It will also include a fashion show with clothing from 1830-1920. Donation is $5 and reservations are required. Call 734-395-4106.
· Pie auction on Sunday at 12:30 – Bring home a fabulous pie
· Horseshoes at 1pm on Sunday
· Dexter Union vs Chelsea Monitors – Old time base ball at 2pm on Sunday

o Saturday at 1: musicians from the Dexter Community Band
o Saturday at 4: musicians from the Hudson Education Center
o Sunday at 11: Musical Revival Service with the Dexter Dulcimer Players
