Burglary

On Wednesday, deputies assigned to Webster Township responded to a burglary complaint in the 8000 block of West Huron River Drive, south of Gregory Road. The deputies determined that individuals forced open a door but encountered a large dog and did not gain entry. Nothing was taken. There is no suspect information at this time.

Home Invasion/Armed Robbery

On Tuesday, deputies assigned to Scio Township responded to a report of an armed robbery that had just occurred the 6000 block of Jackson Avenue, west of South Staebler Road. The deputies determined that three armed suspects opened an unlocked door to gain entry, officers said. Once inside the residence, the three suspects produced handguns and tied up several occupants and stole property, according to police reports.

The time of occurrence was at 11:30 p.m. April 19. Two cellphones, an unknown amount of cash and miscellaneous personal papers were taken. The suspects left the residence and are believed to have fled in a vehicle, police said.

The first suspect is described as a white male, approximately 5 feet 9 inches to 6 feet tall, 190-200 pounds and wearing black pants, a black hoody and a black hat. He had no facial hair and might be bald. He was armed with a dark-colored revolver, according to police.

The second suspect is described as a white male, approximately 5 feet 9 inches to 6 feet tall, 190-200 pounds and wearing black pants, a black sweater and a  black beanie hat.

The third suspect is described as as a white male, approximately 5 feet 9 inches to 6 feet tall, 200 pounds and wearing a black hoody sweatshirt over his head and white shoes. His face was covered with a white bandana with black spots, according to the police report.

Theft

The is investigating the theft of approximately 100 iMac computers stolen from the West Middle School and George School in Ypsilanti Township on April 19. The computers were property of the Ypsilanti Public Schools. Larceny

  • On Sunday, deputies assigned to Webster Township responded to a larceny from automobile complaint in the 2000 block of Barker Road, east of South Hamburg Road. The deputies determined that individuals opened an unlocked door to gain entry. Miscellaneous items were taken, according to reports. There is no suspect information at this time.
  • On April 14, deputies assigned to Scio Township responded to a larceny from automobile complaint in the 5000 block of Jackson Road, west of Burton Avenue. The deputies determined that individuals smashed a window to gain entry. A purse containing several credit cards, checkbook, two wallets, sunglasses and a camera were taken. There is no suspect information at this time, according to reports.
