Vandals Egg Cars in Huron Farms Subdivision in Dexter

The Washtenaw County Sheriff's Office is investigating vandalism claims that occurred on Aug. 26.

Vandals Egg Cars in Huron Farms Subdivision in Dexter

Unknown vandals are having a smashing good time egging cars in the Huron Farms subdivision, according to police.

Washtenaw County Sheriff Sgt. Keith Flores said deputies responded to a call around 1:30 a.m. on Aug. 27 near Ulrich Street in the Village of Dexter. Flores said several cars were egged by unknown persons sometime between the evening of Aug. 26 and early Monday morning.

Huron Farms residents took to Facebook on Monday to express frustration with the egging.

"Someone came to our house on Taylor Court and threw at least three eggs at one of our cars," Alex Elliott wrote.

Flores said deputies are investigating the claims, however there are currently no suspects.

"We don't have a lot of information about the case right now," he said. "I'm not sure if it's target specific. It appears that this was a one-time incident."

Anyone with information about the incident can call the Washtenaw County Sheriff's confidential tip line at 1-800-SPEAK-UP.
