Well, it had to happen some time. It looks like the weather is about to turn, so enjoy the sunshine and mild temperatures. Here's what we think you should know today:

1. The weather

Sunny skies today, with a high of 77 degrees – but there's a 20 percent chance of rain tonight (early Wednesday morning). The National Weather Service predicts a night-time low of 56.

2. This is it – last day to register

If you haven't registered to vote by the end of today, you won't be able to cast your vote in city and school board elections Nov. 8. And we really want you to cast your vote on Nov. 8. Anyone who isn't already registered should visit the city clerk's office (located at Farmington and Farmington Hills city halls). Voters may also register at any Secretary of State branch office or at the Oakland County clerk's office in Pontiac.
