Trott Law's Roy Sexton to Serve as 2016 Board Member for Two Industry Associations

Trott Law's Roy Sexton to serve on the 2016 LMA Midwest Board of Directors and Michigan Mortgage Lenders Association Board of Governors.

FARMINGTON HILLS, Mich.,—Trott Law, a Farmington Hills-based real estate finance law firm, announced today that Senior Vice President of Corporate Affairs Roy Sexton has been elected to serve on the 2016 Legal Marketing Association’s (LMA) Midwest Board of Directors in addition to his continued service on the Michigan Mortgage Lenders Association’s (MMLA) Board of Governors.

Founded in 1985, LMA helps serve the needs and maintain the professional standards of the men and women involved in marketing, business development, client service and communications within the legal profession. As a general members for the LMA, Sexton will work to provide members with vital and timely information and education on a wide variety of issues that will help advance their careers and professional skillsets.

Additionally, Sexton was elected to serve a two-year term as a member-at-large for the MMLA, an organization that aims to provide the real estate finance industry access to the Legislature and state regulatory agencies to help produce and maintain the type of legislation and regulatory climate that permits lenders to full meet the real estate financing needs of Michigan residents. Prior to this role, he served as the chapter’s membership liaison and was responsible for working closely with the state membership chairperson to stay up-to-date on MMLA news and events, and help driver membership through promoting and developing events.

Sexton earned his bachelor’s degree from Wabash College and holds a Master of Arts degree in theater from The Ohio State University. In 2007, Sexton received his Master of Business Administration from the University of Michigan. He is a graduate of Leadership Detroit, Class XXX and Leadership A2Y, and is also a governor-appointed member of the Michigan Council of Labor and Economic Growth. Sexton is active in several nonprofit boards and committees, including First Step, Penny Seats Theatre Company and the Spotlight Players.
