Jim Ryan, #78: It's What You Don't Do Wrong

Detroit Catholic Central High School students and alumni love the school, and the football parents love and support their Shamrocks. While the team played on the field, Patch went into the stands to tell the stories of the parents who help make everything possible.

Name: Jim Ryan

Hometown: Novi

What should Catholic Central try to do to beat Cass Tech? "I think that sometimes, it's not what you do right, it's what you don't do wrong. If we limit turnovers and play our style of ball, I think we've got a good chance to win."

How does football help you as a parent? "They're looking for redemption and they're playing with a chip on their shoulders. I think the team has gotten better as the season has progressed. Basically, it's leadership, character, team-building and hard work that got them here."
